We went on a 12-day trip to Uganda with Peter at the end of January. Our primary goal was the gorillas, that's why we booked the trip. During our research we discovered that Uganda has so much more to offer in terms of wildlife. Now, after returning, we know that the animals are really great. We saw everything you can imagine, lions, leopards, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, different species of antelope and endless different birds. The best thing about Uganda, besides an incredibly diverse nature that sometimes changes completely in less than 100 km, are the people. We travel a lot, but we have never had such friendliness, happiness and openness in any country. We were greeted with smiles everywhere and no one was intrusive. Everyone seemed to care that we had a good time in Uganda. Through Peter we got a completely different view of what we consider to be a very difficult way of life.
Within a very short time, Peter managed to open our hearts to this beautiful country. He is such a lovable personality with whom you can laugh heartily and have a lot of fun, but who also tries to advance tourism in his country in harmony with the people and nature through his impressive farsightedness and great personal commitment. That impressed us very much. We got a lot of insights into the culture and people's way of thinking and had many very thought-provoking conversations with him.
Peter is an extremely safe driver on the sometimes somewhat adventurous roads. How he manages to discover such a large number of animals will remain a mystery to us. He also often pointed out things on the side of the road that we wouldn't have understood without him. He is a thoroughly experienced guide who always responded to requests and always made everything possible. After a short time we felt as if we had been friends for a long time. We very much hope to see him again on another visit to Uganda and can absolutely recommend him to everyone.
